Cat Shots

I prefer, when it comes to my shots, to take pictures of animals, but I do like taking pictures of my family and friends. (especially! my friends)

My best posers are my ten cats. Though, I guess I can’t really call them posers when I can’t get them to stand still! But when they do look at the camera, usually, they’re spitting their tongues out at me!

These are just a few of my hundreds!
Smokey

Smokey; my very first cat. She is seven years old, lazy, loving, and fat. Still, she has some of her kitten qualities left. She still likes to chase her tail and ran around the house like there’s no tomorrow. The one thing you would notice about Smokey, is that she likes to lick people, a lot. She has a problem with strangers, especially if there’s more then one. Her favorite hiding place is under mom’s bed. We have three inside cats, but she is the only one who wears a collar. I always know where she is, I can look once, and always find her the first time. But it helps that when she is walking, the bell on her collar rings. That’s how we know where she is when she’s not laying down. Out of the three cats in our house, Mikey, my brothers cat, is the loudest. When he walks, you can hear it in the other room, and when he lays down, you can hear this loud ‘thud’. Bandit, my moms cat, on the other hand, is very quiet, the only way we know where she is, is by calling her. She loves attention and being petted, so if your near her, or making noise, she comes running, meowing.

Black Spot
(He’s smiling at you!)
My cat Black Spot is three years old. Soon to be four on March 13th. Black Spot is just like Smokey, but he doesn’t like licking you like she does. He is my number one poser. He’s so lazy, every time I want his picture, he’s always laying down stretching or sleeping. He only likes being picked up at certain times; when he’s done with a nap, before a nap, or if he’s in a really lazy mood and he’d rather you carry him to a nice place to lay down. (and he knows I will!) He has three siblings., he, being the oldest. The youngest is Strips. The other to make up the triplets; Black Spot, his sister Vanilla, and his brother Chocolate. I realized after I named then that I should have named him Ice Cream instead, then I can call them, Chocolate, Vanilla, Ice Cream. Or, I could have named him Strawberry. Though, it doesn’t fit. He is named after the black spot on his head. His sister Vanilla had one, but it faded when she was two, so she‘s all white. Plus, her fur is so soft. I don‘t know why, but it had me thinking of vanilla ice cream. (yeah, my brain works that why, you say a word, I think of something that has nothing to do with it!) Chocolate is named also for his black spot on his head. His is faded a bit, not all the way like Vanilla’s, but just enough that it makes it look like someone dumped a cone of chocolate ice cream on his head. His, though, was faded like that from birth. Black spots didn’t change, and Vanilla’s vanished. It’s like a pattern. Each spot does something!

I’ll have to load up more latter, but my computer is so slow, I’ll be up all night! My teacher won’t be happy about that!

Here’s a few more. I actually took them today.

Vanilla

Vanilla isn’t as friendly as Black spot, or her brother Chocolate. She doesn’t like being held, or being to close to people she doesn’t know. She’ll let me pet her, but only when she’s in a good mood. (which isn’t often) Vanilla’s fur is very soft, almost as soft as a rabbits, if not that soft. Her father had a bad front leg because of a fight he got into and Vanilla has one too. Though, it was his front left leg and Vanilla’s is her back left leg. Vanilla got hers from catching her leg on a piece of metal wire. She had lost all use of her leg, but after four months, she was able to walk on her leg, but just a little bit. After another four months, she was able to scratch herself with her leg. And now she can use her leg completely, but she still has a limp. My grandpa and uncle Freddy calls her limpy. Since her leg trouble, she lets me pet her more then she use to. She’s the only outside girl cat I have that’s not stripped.

Strips

Strips is the oldest of my three striped girls. She is also the youngest of her three other siblings. She didn’t use to like to be held or petted, but after a few years, she’s grown to love being petted and sill allow you to pick her up for a short time. She still runs away if you approach her to fast, but she comes to you most of time so you don’t have to worry about that. She like to roll around on her back like her brother Black Spot does. She is also one of the few that will actually get close to my grandma and grandpa’s dogs. She sleeps with them inside their houses sometimes at night. But most of the time she likes to sleep in the woods.

Bissy

Bissy and his brothers are going to be four years old on April 20th. He is the oldest of four siblings and the fattest. Bissy had a twin sister names Hissy, but she died about a year ago. Bissy and his two brothers, Playful and Playful Twin, have had an allergic reaction to milk since they were just a little over a year old. The milk allergy causes them to lose their fur is large chucks if they have any. Bissy also has asthma and an allergic reaction to tic and flee bits, like his sister. When he is bitten by any, the bit area grows very red and starts to scab. Sometimes he even starts to bleed. He also losses fur because he scratches at the scabs. I can help Bissy with his asthma by getting ride of all the flowers and stuff like that away from grandma’s house. It helps that Bissy doesn’t like to go in the woods. Most people tell me his name is weird, and I agree, but it was the only thing I could think of that rhymed with Hissy.

Playful Twin

Playful Twin is named because, you’ve probably already guessed, he’s Playful’s Twin. He, like his twin, is very playful. He is the only cat, besides his brother , that I have that does not fight. He, also like his brother, does not like to be held. I love lap cats, but they, unlike the others, are not lap cats. They pretty much are what the others aren’t. They love to be petted, more then the others do. They love following me around, even when I go for long walks, they never seem to grow tired. Playful Twin is fatter then his brother and has more of a lazy look to his features while Playful has more of a lively look. Their my peace cats. Even when they do get into a fight, all they do is run away. I always taught my cats since they were born, that fight was bad. (Playful and Playful Twin seemed to be the only ones that listened to me)
